Position Summary:
This position will be responsible for filing and managing freight claims on behalf of our customers in accordance with our carrier contracts and claims regulations. Liaison between our customer and the carrier in negotiation and disposition of freight claims. Claims reporting and analysis with a focus on an outstanding customer experience.
Shift:
Monday thru Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
Major Responsibilities:
? Act as a liaison between our customer and carriers in managing freight claims
? Assist in development and enforcement of our claims management policy
? Review submissions, file freight claims, negotiate and resolve cargo claims timely and to the full liability of the carrier contracts
? Continuous improvement of our claims management process
? Utilize our Claims Management software to process claims
? Create and maintain customer required reporting, attend and facilitate meetings
? Understand claims procedure, maintain work instructions and SOP?s
? Review carrier contracts for claim liability
? Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
? 2+ years of cargo claims experience in the transportation, freight forwarding, or 3rd party logistics industry preferred
? Bachelor?s Degree or some college preferred / High school diploma or equivalent necessary
? Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize time sensitive situations in a fast paced environment
? Advanced computer skills including Excel and Outlook required
? Must also be able to learn and regularly operate multiple company and customer owned transportation systems & applications
? Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
? Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment
? Ability to work First, Second and Third Shift as needed. Flexibility with scheduling required
? Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
? Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
