Pillar Health International (“PHI”) is a healthcare management and consulting firm based in the United States with a focus on raising the standard of care internationally. In 2025, PHI will begin a project to plan and build a new greenfield 500-bed state-of-the-art tertiary care teaching hospital and 500-bed assisted living facility on the same campus in the Philippines. PHI will oversee, guide, and coordinate the planning, design, construction, equipping, staffing, and licensure of this new hospital and assisted living facility from inception to opening.
The vision to be a “Hospital of the Future” and premier hospital in the Philippines is vitally important to raise the standard of healthcare available locally. We are excited to be a part of this project to bring essential healthcare services to the underserved patient population in the Philippines. PHI is growing and will be developing other hospital and related healthcare facilities in Asia
Working under PHI, we are seeking a Director, Supply Chain/Materials Management to assist with hospital and other related projects in the following roles:
Assist with project FF&E (medical and non-medical) planning, tenders, selection and acquisition
Overseeing logistics associated with FF&E importation and distribution
Recommendations on supply cost budget pre- and post-opening
Recommendations on requisition, purchasing, contracting, logistics, warehousing, hospital department storage, inventory and distribution set up, process and flow
Provide input on space needs and facility design related to supply chain
Develop an inventory management plan
Input and assist with Supply Chain information system selection and build
Analyze the potential value of contracting or establishing with a GPO
Recommendation on Product Standards/Value Analysis committee formation
Recommendations on vendor access control
Department staffing plan, position descriptions and competencies
Assist with Supply Chain leadership recruitment, selection, and on-boarding
These are the primary roles PHI will need assistance with from the Director, Supply Chain/Materials Management as well as other relevant roles that may evolve as the project advances. This a de facto senior leadership role which requires regular collaboration with other project contemporaries in various capacities to ensure all aspects of the project are completed at the highest level of quality and on time.
Qualifications:
BS/BA required
MS or MBA preferred
Ten (10) or more years of experience in hospital/healthcare supply chain management as a senior consultant and/or hospital senior leadership position; relevant industry experience from a healthcare supply chain distributor would be considered
Proficiency in the latest technology advances and automation related to supply chain
This is a full-time position based in the Philippines at the project site and cannot be a remote work engagement. Project duration is anticipated to last 3-5 years.
Compensation will include a stipend for travel, housing, and relocation. PHI will provide the proper work visa and other permits as required by the Philippines government.
