Community School of Naples (CSN) is currently seeking an experienced, motivated and collaborative Accounts Payable and Purchasing Specialist to join a team of dedicated Business Office professionals.
Accounts Payable and Purchasing Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the financial processes of the School. This role is responsible for accurately and efficiently processing invoices and purchase orders, managing vendor relationships, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services, and contributing to the overall financial health of the School. Attention to detail and dedication to maintaining accurate records makes this an integral role within Business Office.
CSN is one of the top independent schools in southwest Florida and maintains a PK3-12 school enrollment of over 1000 students. CSN has a high retention rate with many dedicated employees here for longer than 10 years; some more than 30. Our students track higher than all other southwest Florida schools in test scores, extracurricular activities, and college acceptances. Compensation and Benefits
The appointment is for a full-time, year-round position paid on an hourly basis, commensurate with experience and other qualifications. Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, or Business is preferred; experience and/or other training/certification may be substituted for the education.
- A minimum of 3 years of prior experience in a related role; independent school experience is a plus.
- Experience in investigation and development of high-quality suppliers and services at the best value is a plus.
- Reliable and extremely trustworthy with a background in maintaining confidentiality.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with employees and community members.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient with Blackbaud or the ability to quickly learn software.
Physical Demands/ Ability to
- Lift/ carry up to 25 lbs.
- Stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
- Sit at a desk while working on the computer.
- Bend, twist, kneel, stoop, climb, crouch, balance on a regular basis.
- Detect and exchange accurate information.
- Have close visual acuity to perform essential functions of the job.
