Overview
The Procurement Operations Manager oversees the development, implementation, and refinement of policies, procedures, and goals to align the procurement function with the University's strategic objectives. Manage a team of operational buyers responsible for processing purchase requisitions and collaborate closely with Accounts Payable to streamline procurement workflows, ensuring efficiency for university schools and units.
Responsibilities
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Required Experience: 5+ years of relevant procurement operations experience including supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Leadership and team management skills, including coaching and conflict resolution. Accountability for productivity, efficiency, and quality for self and team members. Proven ability to understand client needs and provide value to clients through streamlined processes and quality execution of purchase orders and payments. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Collaborative team player, able to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality. Skilled in gathering, processing, and interpreting complex datasets to deliver actionable insights and drive data-informed business strategies. Proficient in Excel. Adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced environment. Meeting facilitation and objective achievement skills. Problem-solving and resolution skills. Knowledge of and ability to apply/improve financial policies.
Qualifications
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $90,000.00 to USD $110,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
