Scope of PositionUnder the direction of a pharmacist and in coordination with other technicians, the Pharmacy Technician I is responsible for packaging, preparation, and distribution of medications, inventory control, customer service and maintaining pharmacy records. The Technician must participate in continual training opportunities provided by the department to develop ongoing skills in other areas of the pharmacy. The Technician must comply with all rules and regulations of the hospital and pharmacy department. If registered as a pharmacy technician trainee with the OH Board of Pharmacy, the Technician must complete OSU Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC) employer-based training program.
