This position will be focused on centralized operations and distribution which is based out of the system's main inpatient pharmacy. The role will focus on enteral extemporaneous cart fill, automated dispensing cabinet replenishment, non-sterile & sterile compounding, IV automation, and IV batching workflows. The manager will have direct reports in the area of supervision.
Responsibilities:
Monitors and oversees daily clinical operations and services of the department.
Plans and prepares work schedules, prioritizes and delegates work assignments and allocates resources to meet patient care and coverage requirements.
Provides leadership and staff development through education, training and consultation.
Provides leadership and supervision for clinical staff, monitoring performance and ensuring compliance with established procedures, standards and guidelines.
Collaborates with the director of pharmacy operations and technician managers and supervisors to conduction pharmacy operations
Evaluates and recommends changes in departmental operations and services to improve quality and performance as well as reduce costs. Works as an integral member of the Pharmacy Leadership Team.
5 years of previous experience or completion of a PGY-2 Health System Pharmacy Administration residency program
