**Exempt Position-Initial salary based on experience**
Responsibilities:
Assist in developing and implementing WREC’s Construction Work Plan and Long-Range Plans.
Monitor and report on the progress of assigned projects relative to schedule and budget as outlined in the construction work plan.
Directs and performs the inspection of construction projects upon completion.
Track and order major equipment and materials for upcoming projects.
Evaluate new components and equipment that will meet the project goals.
Maintain company engineering drawings and technical documentation including the specifications book, operations manual, and staking guide.
Provide technical recommendations on construction standards, equipment, and components used.
Assist in various other engineering projects as time and skill permits.

Required Qualifications:
Possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an EAC/ABET-accredited program or equivalent.
Knowledge of power systems general properties and fundamentals.
Strong verbal/written communications skills including interacting with fellow engineers, outside contractors, and field crews.
Preferred Qualifications:
Two or more years of electric utility experience and/or experience in overseeing utility construction
Working knowledge of current solar technology and IEEE and UL Standards.
Working knowledge of Rural Utility Service (RUS) rules and regulations, National Electric Safety Code (NESC) and National Electric Code (NEC).
Experience working with government agencies and regulations from FDEP, FDOT, State and County Agencies
Working knowledge of computer programs and applications such as: Geographic Information Systems/ESRI, Outage Management Systems, Distribution system modeling and analysis software, utility pole and/or structural analysis software (PLS CAD), AutoCAD, SQL databases, and Microsoft Office software suite.
Coursework and/or training in Statics, Engineering Economics, Electric Distribution Utility Design, Electric Machines, with a working knowledge of symmetrical components and the per unit system.
