Junior Distribution System Operator
Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative (SMECO) has an immediate opening for a Junior Distribution System Operator. The primary functions of this position will be to monitor the distribution system in compliance with SMECO operational procedures. Ensures configuration changes/updates are incorporated into the outage management system (OMS). The candidate will monitor and operate OMS to: (a) detect and respond to distribution incidents by dispatching resources for construction, maintenance and outages ensuring timely restorations; (b) analyze and promptly act on OMS incidents to locate the trouble and assist field crews in troubleshooting outages with all information available; (c) monitor alarm status on all distribution lines; (d) assist the Sr. Distribution System
