Summary of Essential Duties:
The Procurement Associate is responsible for daily departmental procurement activities, with the ability to evaluate requests for services and communicate priorities to peers and customers tactfully.
Acts as the primary liaison with Accounts Payable to facilitate accurate payment of vendors, by partnering with internal Supply Chain teams, clinical teams, and vendor representatives.
Communicates directly with external vendors, to update assigned ERP Systems and other approved communication channels such as updating excel sheets and MS Teams site or others, with updated delivery dates on all open purchase orders.
Maintains fill rates, reviews and resolves match exception and Aging POs, follows-up with vendors to validate availability and pricing and communicate status to internal and external contacts.
Follows up with vendors to validate product/substitution availability, ETA, pricing and other related items.
Acts as subject matter expert with primary distributor and service vendors for match exceptions and discrepancies.
Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics or related field preferred
Experience:
A minimum of 1 year of Billing/Collections experience required
Experience in Healthcare Supply Chain or Purchasing preferred
