What We Are Looking For

Baylor University is seeking a Logistic & Events Specialist within the Division of Marketing & Communications (MarComm). This position will ensure the smooth execution of events across university departments and spaces. This includes coordinating internal and third-party events, conferences, camps and workshops including those that span multiple days and require the use and coordination between various university facilities. This position will act as a liaison between clients and service providers, offering professional guidance and overseeing the event planning process and policies to achieve consistent and successful outcomes. Additionally, this position will be responsible for managing student work staff, scheduling campus facilities and establishing processes and procedures for reserving and utilizing campus space.

A High School Diploma and at least one year of relevant work experience is required. A Bachelor's Degree and three to five years of relevant work experience is preferred.

*Must be available to work some nights and weekends as needed.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

What You Will Do

• In partnership with campus stakeholders, assist with the facilitation and logistics of institutional events and the planning of internal and third-party conferences, camps and workshops
• Serve as a liaison between planners and on-campus service providers
• Assist in the event execution as appropriate
• Collaborate in the planning of contracts and agreements for conference, summer camps, and event business, including conceptualizing strategic efforts to maximize revenue and programming opportunities/efficiencies that responsibly utilize campus facilities and resources
• Support event logistics which may encompass facility work-orders, residential accommodations, dining arrangements, and recreational activities
• Collaborate with campus partners in risk management and general counsel to assess the necessity of compliance requirements for each event and ensuring the implementation of these requirements to minimize liability exposures
• Support MarComm activations as necessary
• Perform all other duties as assigned to support the mission of Baylor University
• Comply with University policies
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance
