This Contract Administrator will be responsible for:
Administering and maintaining the department's database of vendor contracts and notifies contracting management and staff of expiring contracts to ensure continuity of supplies and equipment
Ensuring timely processing of contract changes including price adjustments, product change notifications, and vendor and GPO price changes
Interfacing with Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) and non-GPO vendors to communicate locally negotiated pricing
Participating in assigned Value Analysis committees preparing materials to support Committee activities and reviews
Assisting Buyers with pricing issues and match exceptions.(P.O./contract exceptions)
Maintains good relations with suppliers and user departments while assuring equitable resolution of credits when necessary. Ensures that supplier services are available as needed without interruption. Develops and maintains good relations through courteous, objective, and professional dealings. Informs both the Contracts Manager and Director of Supply Chain Administration of any vendor-related problems, including interruptions of deliveries or services
Works with stakeholders and Contract analysts to evaluate vendor performance based on prices, delivery, service, and past performance
Follows a positive problem-solving approach to resolve concerns or issues with other departments as indicated by positive response of all parties. Uses all channels of communication to address inter- and intra-departmental concerns, solve problems, and avoid/address conflict. Maintains effective working relationships with members of the medical staff and Hospital staff.
To qualify you must have:
A Bachelor's degree in Business or closely related field & at least 2 years of closely related experience
CMRP (Certified Risk Management Professional) designation is preferred
The ability to solve complex problems requiring the use of scientific, mathematical, or technical principles and in?depth, experienced?based cross?functional knowledge
Knowledge of Materials Management and other operational and inventory systems
