Non-tenure track (NTT) position as Lecturer, Teaching Professor, or Faculty of Practice Series will reside within the Department of Supply Chain Management, and the selected faculty member will have responsibility for teaching in the UTK undergraduate supply chain program, the online Master of Science in Supply Chain Management (MS-SCM), and in the on-campus Master of Science in Global Supply Chain. The selected candidate may also teach in Executive Education or other non-degree programs as needed.
The faculty member will report to the Department Head of Supply Chain Management and work closely with other tenured and non-tenured supply chain management faculty in order to collaboratively achieve our department’s instructional goals.
The NTT faculty member will also be expected to engage, inform, motivate and build connections with students and external university partners; and have an ability to work in a team-based, client-centered, and fast-paced setting. Please note, this is a full-time and on-campus (not remote).

The Knoxville campus of the University of Tennessee is seeking candidates who have the ability to contribute in meaningful ways to the diversity and intercultural goals of the university.
Master’s degree in a related discipline is required for each level. A Ph.D., or D.B.A. from an accredited institution in Supply Chain Management or related discipline is preferred. Terminal degree and professional industry experience are required at the time of application. The ideal candidate should also possess at least ten years of professional Supply Chain Management industry experience; significant leadership responsibility would be beneficial. Teaching and/or industry experience in procurement and/or supply chain finance is preferred, but not required. Ability to relate real-world experience in academic settings is essential. Rank and Classification will be determined based on a candidate’s qualifications and experience.
