Lead Load Planner (Billing and Accounts Receivable)
Location: Reading, PA or Duluth GA.
Position Summary:
Penske Logistics is looking for a Lead Load Planner to become part of an excellent team. This is a great opportunity for an individual who is self-motivated, has strong analytical and computer skills, strong attention to detail and is enthusiastic to work in a customer-centric environment. This position coordinates all processes and functions of the Teams Billing, and aging receivables collections, load planning and freight movement.
Major Responsibilities:
Support DCC Backhaul team by owning and managing all billing/invoicing and aging receivables functions and processes
Support DCC Backhaul team with POD collection from operations and drivers
Conduct monthly audits to ensure alignment between numbers being reported to leadership and billing submission
Work with backhaul customers to identify root causes for delayed payments
Collaborate with Penske Cash Applications team to identify how to apply payments to open loads
-Utilize Penske systems to research check payment information and payment application history
Create and implement invoicing and aging receivables process improvements
Run metrics and measures to manage process controls
Support DCC backhaul team with critical load track and trace functions
Support DCC backhaul team with load building and load planning
Other projects and tasks as assigned by manager
Stay current on the customer's industry
Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree strongly preferred (Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management / Logistics in lieu of industry experience is preferred)
Experience with Billing and Accounts Receivable
Above average to strong Excel Skills
Good Organizational Skills
Experience with invoicing and payment collections preferred
Transportation Management experience preferred
Previous Load Planning experience preferred
Candidate should possess problem solving skills and ability to communicate solutions.
Ability to work with team and support team needs
Ability to prioritize customer and business needs and drive customer delight
Excellent communication, organizational & PC skills (including Microsoft Office products).
Attention to detail & accuracy
Ability to learn quickly and multi-task
Sense of urgency & ability to understand customer requirements
Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
