Responsibilities
This position oversees accounts payable and all departmental purchases, which total more than $2.5M a year. On average this position completes over 2,700 P-CARD transactions ($1M a year) and 300 employee reimbursements (over $150,000 a year). This position also assists with planning and coordinating key department events.
Required Qualifications
Experience purchasing goods and services in a professional capacity.
Accounts payable experience.
Experience with processing employee reimbursements.
Experience working in an executive-level office environment and/or providing administrative support.
Computer knowledge and skills to apply various programs (word processing, Excel spreadsheets, databases) and software to accomplish assignments, and the ability to learn new software, as necessary.
Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills and the ability to anticipate consequences, with the ability to research, collect, analyze and interpret data and to develop programs, policies and procedures.
Strong organizational and time management skills to establish goals, ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple work assignments and deadlines efficiently despite frequent interruptions.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
Excellent communication skills (oral, written, and interpersonal) to effectively interpret instructions and interact with a wide variety of people in a helpful, effective, and informative manner using tact and diplomacy. Ability to communicate with confidence and discretion where matters of fiscal confidentiality are concerned and to exercise sound judgment in releasing information.
