Penske Logistics is looking for a Supply Chain Analyst to work on-site at our client location to help facilitate successful parts deliveries to the production floor safely, accurately and efficiently. The Supply Chain Analyst is accountable for supporting client material flow by partnering with the Penske Operations team and the client's materials, assembly and support teams. This position will help drive continuous improvement through effective daily communication between Penske and client contacts as well as conducting root cause analysis of issues and helping implement corrective actions.
Responsibilities:
Communication liaison between Penske's operations team and client's materials team
Verify shipments from Penske for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to pick broadcasts
Proactively seek opportunities to improve customer's inventory and material flow processes
Work with Penske team and client contacts to resolve stock shortages
Examine current Penske and client processes and implement or recommend improvements to drive down waste
Provide parts follow up ensuring optimal material flow
Use discretion and independent judgment to answer customer requests and propose solutions
Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
1-3 years inventory/auditing/warehousing experience preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred
Project Management and/or lean certification a plus
Fundamental understanding of transportation, supply chain and logistics concepts
Proven computer skills including Microsoft Office suite
Experience with Google programs and SAP preferred
Strong problem solving and time management skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and multitask
Ability to follow standard process and procedures
Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
