The Operations Supervisor provides direction at a single location, leading staff to ensure customer requirements are achieved while meeting our Penske goals and objectives.
In this role, Operations Supervisors will be bonus eligible based on their performance and location performance. Operations Supervisor could earn up to 12% of their base for Max Performance.
Schedule:3rd Shift Sunday - Thursday 11 pm-7:30 am (Flexibility with schedule required including Fridays or Saturdays). Must have proven current or recent leadership experience, working in automotive industry, and bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
Salary range:$55-67K, depending on experience
Position Summary:
Responsible for all operational activity at a small single site location, or for a shift at a large location. This includes driver, warehouse, equipment and supplier scheduling. Supervises both hourly and salary associates, and is responsible for performance management, corrective action and disciplinary decisions up to suspension level. Actively involved in the hiring process and frequently interacts with the customer.
Major Responsibilities:
People:
Communicate daily work assignments to all shift associates, Interview hourly associates and provide recommendations for hire, Ensure all associates are treated fairly.
Operations:
Evaluate and recommend changes in preferred work processes to improve customer satisfaction, Effectively manage deadline pressures while maintaining a positive attitude, Ensure customer's product is stored or delivered in a timely basis, damage free.
Finance:
Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures such as inventory accuracy and control, returns, damages, etc, Understand the relationship between decision-making and profitability, Closely manage associates' working hours and activities to minimize overtime and to meet or exceed productivity targets.
Safety:
Understand the location safety strategy and how to apply it in the work place, Continuously monitor and reinforce safety awareness among all shift associates, Lead shift safety meetings.
Growth / Customer Experience:
Present a positive, can do attitude to the customer, Understand the location-specific customer goals & objectives, Determine areas that could benefit from continuous improvement efforts.
Fleet/Assets:
Ensure all equipment is in proper working order, Ensure all maintenance documentation is completed and send to appropriate vendor (PTL, etc.), Ensure vehicles are properly secured when not in service.

-Associates degree or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
-3 - 5 years related functional experience required.
-1 years supervisory experience, required.
-Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
-Computer Systems and PC skills, including MS Office Suite, required.
-Must possess good communication skills as well as organizational and problem solving skills.
-Must be able to use CRT, PC, scanners, calculators and related equipment.
-Must have SAP knowledge
-Working knowledge of MRP and JIT preferred.
-Strong written/oral communication and organizational skills are required
