A Penske Logistics Sr. Logistics Analyst is responsible for maintaining and evolving the companyâ€™s analytical ability to create, maintain, publish, and analyze the key performance indicators related to distribution, transportation, labor management, and finance. This is a hands-on role that requires the analyst to work directly with the operations personnel by getting involved to understand and improve the business. The position provides consulting and support to frontline operations Supervisors as well as Senior Operations Manager.
- Shift (Monday-Friday) 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Salary range - $70k to 75k depending on experience
â€¢ Work with the site operations and finance teams to develop daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual key performance indicators (KPIâ€™s).
â€¢ Update, publish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIâ€™s).
â€¢ Provide insight to trends by analyzing variances, to understand and communicate the health of each KPI
â€¢ Deliver senior management, finance, and site operations in-depth analysis of key performance indicators (KPIâ€™s) to drive insights on trends, areas of opportunities to optimize performance and costs, driving better decision making through data
â€¢ Develop and deliver ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed
â€¢ Perform other duties as assigned
â€¢ Bachelor's Degree: Logistics & Supply Chain Management, or Accounting, or Finance, or Business Administration preferred
â€¢ 3-7 yearsâ€™ experience in business intelligence, or business analysis, or financial analysis
â€¢ Very strong analytical skills required
â€¢ Detail oriented and highly analytical, able to translate data and trends into clearly understandable messaging
â€¢ Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required,
â€¢ Proficient in use of other MS Office products
â€¢ Highly organized and self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and ability to thrive as part of a financial management team
â€¢ Strong understanding of the importance of hands on collaboration with the Operations team and the personnel at the Area, Region and Corporate levels
â€¢ Must be able to exercise moderate independent judgment with direction from supervisor
â€¢ Fundamental understanding of transportation, supply chain and logistics concepts preferred
â€¢ Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
â€¢ Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required
