The National Warehouse Strategy Manager will oversee capacity, efficiency and improvement opportunities across the entire GLC warehouse network nationwide.
Support the justification, selection, performance oversight and negotiations of third-party warehouse relationships.
Work with demand planning and the SC analytics to assure the GLC warehouses have ample capacity to support manufacturing and distribution requirements.
Act as a consultant for internal warehouse operations and lead projects supporting internal warehouse improvements.
Develop best in class warehouse standards to meet on-time shipping, optimize efficiency and ensure inventory accuracy.
Develop warehouse management system upgrades through collaboration with warehouse management and IT.
Develop, maintain and report on warehouse performance, safety and efficiency metrics.
Coordinate all warehouse building and expansion projects by providing input on facility sizing, layout, equipment needs and staffing.
Work with IT to develop reports and data gathering methods to measure warehouse productivity and effectiveness.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics or related field.
5 years of warehouse management or warehouse analytical experience.
Deep understanding of warehouse operations.
5 years of experience with utilizing warehouse performance, safety and efficiency metrics.
5 years of experience with Warehouse Management Systems(WMS).
Experience with WMS set-up and functional logic.
Strong math aptitude and quantitative problem solving approach.
Strong Microsoft Office Suite ability including: Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to frame opportunities in a clear, concise and logical manner.
Ability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot, problem solve and meet deadlines.
General understanding of Supply Chain and Logistics processes.
Business reporting/data gathering software experience.
Quantitative Excel modeling experience.
Project management skills and experience.
Work is performed in an office setting.
Occasional exposure to industrial operations including: temperature extremes from approximately 35ºF to 100ºF; noise levels in excess of 85 dB; moisture and moving machinery.
