Collaborates with Operationsâ€™ Leadership, cross-functional teams and the Loss Prevention (LP) team to integrate loss prevention into all locationsâ€™ strategies, activities, and decision making processes resulting in the prevention of loss related to property, assets, data, information, and product inventory while maintaining 100% compliance with all agency regulations and company policies. Collaborates with Operationsâ€™ Leadership to integrate food safety into all food locationsâ€™ strategies, activities, and decision making processes resulting in compliance with all government food regulations, company and customer policies.
Implement Security, Loss Prevention and Food Safety policies, procedures, controls, strategies, and goals for the region. 100% compliance with Company and Customer policies and procedures, and Federal, State, and Local Agencies.
Perform risk assessments and site evaluations. Anticipate, identify, and resolve actual or potential security or loss breaches. Proactive identification of defects and best practices to mitigate loss.
Implement, and monitor loss performance and inventory control metrics.
Assist with security breach and loss investigations to identify root causes, and assist with corrective and improvement efforts. Reduction in future security breaches and loss exposure.
Ensures cycle counts and physical inventories are conducted properly and in accordance with the required frequency/schedule
Ensures compliance with import and export requirements for security and protection established by Company policy and procedures for border crossing and port operations
Provide operations management teams with effective training regarding food safety, regulatory interpretations and updates, security and loss management techniques. Continuous output of creative, innovative and successful strategies that effectively support Operations.
Assist the corporate Food Safety Manager with management of the food safety program within the assigned region
Other projects as assigned by the Manager
5 years minimum security and loss prevention management experience in the supply chain management Industry - includes transportation, warehousing, and inventory control
3 years food safety or food quality experience developing and supporting a food safety program
Bachelorâ€™s Degree required, Concentration in Industrial Security, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Risk Management, Food Science, Food Safety or related field preferred
Certifications in Loss Prevention Qualified (LPQ), GMP, HACCP, GFSI, Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI), and / or Certified Forensic Interviewer (CFI) preferred
Knowledge of basic security and loss prevention techniques
Knowledge of basic food safety techniques
Knowledge with US and Canada customs compliance programs (C-TPAT, CSA, FAST, PIP)
Proficiency with product inventory control technology and techniques
Knowledge of protective security devices and systems such as alarms, closed circuit television systems, and automated access control systems
WMS and ERP System Knowledge
Effective communication skills, written and verbal
Facilitating & presenting reviews/audits to various C level executives
Effective team building skills
Analytical and problem solving skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Flexibility regarding travel â€" including some weekends
Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
