Job Summary and Mission
The Account Executive is responsible for developing and securing incremental revenue and market share through promotion and sales of all services and products to establish and target accounts. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
Identify business opportunities and generate profitable sales in both new and existing accounts to meet and exceed new business revenue goals.
Assist in the development and implementation of sales plans that support increased sales.
Build strategic relationships with key contacts within customer organizations to understand opportunities for creating value.
Capitalize on value creation opportunities by working closely with the sales and operations management team to develop creative workable solutions to customer needs.
Cross sell the company's suite of products and services in a global team environment.
Monitor and review customer sales activity and make strategy adjustments as needed.
Facilitate regular meetings with clients and relevant operations staff to evaluate performance and receive updates from clients on challenges and future plans.
Work collaboratively with the operational staff at multiple sites and locations to ensure customers' needs and expectations are met.Coordinate with inside sales efforts and provide flow of data on accounts and competitors.
Assist in development and reporting of competitive market analysis.
Complete administrative functions in a timely manner.
Maintain a high level of expertise and knowledge of products and services.
Keep abreast of emerging technology changes and innovations through formal or informal study, reading business and professional publications, networking, and participation in professional organizations.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation Package: Base Salary plus Commission Plan and Car Allowance. We also offer a 401k with company match and a competitive benefits package including Medical, Rx, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance coverage.
Base Salary Range: $45,000 - $70,000 (Based on experience and qualifications specific to the logistics industry).
Commission Plan: Our generous commission structure allows motivated individuals the opportunity to earn unlimited monthly commissions in addition to a competitive base salary.
Summary of Experience and Education
High School Graduate or GED required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
A minimum of five years related experience.
A minimum four years industry experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated knowledge of sales concepts, methods and techniques.
Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to persuade, influence, negotiate and make formal presentations in meetings and training environments.
Ability to develop strong business relationships within all levels of organizations, including senior level executives.
Demonstrated skills in organization group process, problem identification and resolution at both a strategic and functional level.
Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
Strong interpersonal skills (maturity, good judgment, diplomacy and patience) and strong consulting and presentation skills.
Understanding of domestic and international regulatory compliance laws and regulations related to the supply chain and transportation industry.
Basic understanding of business financial principles including P&L's, budgets, payroll, financial reporting and expense control.
Ability to communicate and interact effectively with people from multi-functional and diverse backgrounds.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, employees and customers.
Licenses and Certifications
Valid state issued Driver's License
Proof of automobile insurance.
