Oversees the Indirect Spend team to ensure all purchases optimize value and quality received, while ensuring that goods or services will meet specifications presented by other departments. Acquire bids from vendors and process purchase requisitions for goods and services according to Departmental Purchases – Purchase Order policies. Identify opportunities to aggregate spend which in turn will increase cost savings
Manages and develops Indirect Spend team to ensure strong working relationships with our internal customers and vendors are being created and maintained. Ensures company’s purchasing policies and procedures are being enforced and that all purchase requisitions and other purchase documents comply with established processes, policies and procedures.
Prepares request for information or request for quote for goods and services required by our internal customers and identifies vendors to participate. Collaborates with internal customers, Law, Finance, and vendor on all National Contracts and awards the bid according to company’s purchasing policies and procedures.
Collaborates with General Managers and Director of FMO Support to strategically identify opportunities to aggregate spend into National Contracts. Research vendor opportunities to promote a healthy supply case. Develops additional sources for single-sourced goods or services.
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret quotes, estimates or bids to ensure requirements/specifications or scope of work will be met. Ability to compare quotes, estimates or bids.
