Production Analyst $50k to $65k, Comprehensive Benefits, Collegial Work Environment
JOB LOCATION AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position will be stationed in the Company’s Rancho Dominguez, California corporate headquarters facility. The work environment for this position will be a refrigerated production and processing environment where seafood is received, stored in coolers and freezers, processed, packaged and distributed via trucks to the Company’s customers.
WORK HOURS: Specific work hours for this position will be determined by the Plant manager, and will vary at times due to production needs.
POSITION OVERVIEW: The Production Analyst will have responsibility for supporting the Production teams on Day and Night shift in devising more efficient systems and processes of work. Using different Management Information systems, can extract and use data to drive effective decision-making, gets and secures information by interviewing employees and / or customers, reading reports, analyzing operations, determining project scope, reviewing databases and other Management Information systems to determine which data are relevant and what methods should be used to analyze them; and describes and records the results and recommendations in reports.
Produces practical solutions by describing requirements, studying system or process capabilities, analyzing alternate solutions / different scenarios, and preparing system specifications using statistical analysis, simulation and optimization.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The minimum requirements for this position include the following:
Four-year university degree preferred
CPIM certification preferred
1-3 years cumulative experience in an Analyst role.
Significant experience in the manufacturing / production arena with a knowledge of, or a willingness to become knowledgeable about, seafood products.
Bilingual in English and Spanish, with a strong command of the English language with good written and verbal communication skills.
High proficiency in all Microsoft Office software; experience with Management Operating systems, ERP packages, computer report generation and general computer database usage.
Strong decision making skills and attention to detail.
Must be a self-starter and highly organized with polished presentation and interpersonal skills.
