Applies research theory, concepts, methodologies, and techniques in developing and managing distribution operations programs.
Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Provides business insights and competitor intelligence to support the development of strategies, forecasts and performance reporting.
Provides analytical and quantitative secondary research support to the business by accessing, verifying and organizing market trend, competitive intelligence and distribution data using a variety of sources.
Manages execution through the develop of project plans to align distribution initiatives
Tracks compliance against business plans and distribution execution opportunities.
Tracks results at end of each distribution initiative in terms of costs, profit and contribution.
Prepares accurate and timely financial and business related analyses, research, and forecasts including financial and expense performance, rate of return, depreciation, weekly divisional forecasts, working capital and investments
Compiles and prepares accurate and timely reports, graphs and charts of data developed
Conceptualizes, develops and presents business cases to present to department leadership
Participates in special financial and business related studies as needed to support project objectives
Partners with other departments in the preparation of analyses and to identify improvement opportunities that can provide positive results to the bottom line
Applies moderate level of subject matter knowledge to solve a variety of business issues
Exercises independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action
Owns moderate processes and/or portions of complex processes with no visible drop off in performance to leadership.
Relevant Experience, Education, Certification, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Bachelor’s degree preferred in business, marketing or similar quantitative field or acceptable equivalent experience
Financial, mathematical, statistical, marketing, merchandising and consumer research background to read, interpret, and understand how internal and external factors influence financial results.
Knowledge of EDW, Tableau, and similar applications preferred.
Financial forecasting and budgeting skills.
Organizational and project management skills.
Advanced computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project Plan and Access.
Strong math and analytical skills.
Ability to work across vast amounts of data from different data sources.
Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
Possess excellent management and leadership skills and the ability to motivate and work with and through others to achieve desired results.
Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
Must have the ability to represent the Company's interests to outside professionals and vendors.
Some travel may be required, depending on assigned area
Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment
Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal
Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment in the course of normal workday
Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties
