As the production planning manager, you will manage all aspects of material flow and the production schedule to support our customer demand and business growth including transactions, planning, scheduling, inventory budget and turns to ensure customer orders ship on time and are complete. Key responsibilities include:

Oversee production planning staff (5) and responsible to train and develop the organization to understand critical concepts and principles of Lean and innovative planning methodology.
Develop, manage, and update annual plans including strategic and tactical plans, objectives, costs and impacts.
Responsible for planning, developing and controlling inventory budget, including interpretation of sales forecasts and history, in accordance with company goals and objectives.
Coordinate with Sales Forecasting & Allocation Manager and Manufacturing to ensure optimum levels of raw materials and parts are achieved to meet customer needs while containing expenses and inventory budget.
Develop the master production schedule and review manufacturing orders.
Revises schedule according to manufacturing work order specifications, established priorities, and availability or capability of workers, parts, material, machines, and equipment.
Cordinate with Logistics Manager to establish inventory control practices and procedures including inventory levels, re-order points, inventory record systems, etc.
Utilize lean manufacturing techniques to support material flow throughout the value stream.
Assists with determining causes of nonconformity with product specifications, and operating or production problems; the provide recommended solutions.
What we are looking for:
A Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with 5-7 years of related experience including demonstrated success in master scheduling, leadership experience.
Working proficiency in Microsoft office. Knowledge of XA and throughput helpful. Beginner level knowledge of Mapics with the ability to advance to a proficient level required.
Capacity to apply lean principles to production planning/scheduling.
